Supporting the Hunter Valley with Palliative Care Equipment & Solutions

Friends of Palliative Care Inc are committed to promoting community awareness of Palliative Care services, to meet the needs of patients and their families and carers.

Established in 1986, we rely on donations from the community to assist and support providers of Palliative Care Services within the Lower Hunter.

We have a vibrant committee that are eager to volunteer their time to support Palliative patients and their families within the Maitland, Kurri Kurri, Cessnock, Singleton, Dungog and surrounding areas.

Servicing the Hunter & Inner Hunter Areas

We provide assistance to Palliative Care Services in the Lower Hunter by:

  • Coordinating and managing fund raising activities to ensure support to services and care
  • Provide financial support to palliative patients through assistance with pharmacy accounts and home equipment needs
  • Supporting medical teams who provide palliative services through ongoing education at seminars and conferences
  • Provide care packages to patients that are receiving support through the pharmacy account program
  • Loan out equipment to aid palliative patients when receiving care within their own home
  • Financially assist palliative patients to fulfil a “bucket list” experience

Referrals are made through Palliative Care Teams and Social Workers for patient support. Please speak to your service providers.
